At CamoVets, service does not stop when the uniform comes off. It continues through community, purpose, and showing up for causes that matter. That is why we are proud to support the upcoming Steps for Hope 5K next month in Brick, New Jersey, an inspiring event organized by Jar of Hope to raise awareness and funding for Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD).

Check-in: 7 am; Race starts at 8 am
Race finish: Windward Park

This is where the local business vendors will be set up starting at 8am!
Purpose: Raise funds and awareness for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) through JAR of Hope
Activities: 5k run and 2-mile walk
Participants are encouraged to arrive early to allow time for parking, check-in, and pre-race activities. But events like this do not run on good intentions alone. They run on people! The event is supported by LeTip of Brick, community leaders, nonprofit partners, and volunteers. There is still time to join and show your support as a vendor, volunteer, runner, and a walker!
Come celebrate the runners and walkers as they cross the finish line and enjoy the small businesses and vendors who will be set up at Windward Beach providing you with access to the best businesses and services at the Jersey Shore!
Why This Event Matters
Jar of Hope is dedicated to funding research and supporting families affected by Duchenne muscular dystrophy, a rare and fatal muscle disease that primarily impacts young boys. The Steps for Hope 5K is more than a race. It is a community-driven effort to push forward progress, raise awareness, and stand with families facing this diagnosis.
From the 5K run to the 2-mile walk and vendor fair, every part of the day is designed to bring people together for a shared mission.
We’ll See You There
CamoVets will be on-site at Winward Beach in Brick with a table at the vendor fair during the event, and we’ll be following behind the last race runners in our truck to pick up cones and water along the route to the finish. We are excited to meet members of the community, connect with fellow supporters, and stand alongside Jar of Hope in this mission.
